Batman: Arkham Origins full trailer released

Last week’s CG teaser not enough to wet your appetite? Well, Warner have released the full version of the trailer showing off some more of that great CGI.

Batman: Arkham Origins is launching worldwide on October 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. This trailer also revealed that Deathstroke will be a playable character if you pre-order the game.

Nintendo and SEGA announce exclusivity deal and partnership

Today’s Nintendo Direct put at least one console war to sleep with the news that Nintendo will have exclusive publishing rights over the next three games featuring the blue blur.

The biggest game announced as part of this deal was Sonic: Lost World which will be coming to Wii U and 3DS, the first screenshot of the game was also released.

Another, currently unannounced, Sonic The Hedgehog title is also in development under this exclusivity deal.

The third and probably weakest title announced was Sonic and Mario at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games for Wii U, which features new events like figure skating pairs. Exciting stuff.

Game Gear titles will be heading to the Virtual Console on 3DS, so you can buy ports of really bad ports of old SEGA games.

Batman: Arkham Origins teaser shows Batman fighting Deathstroke

A teaser trailer for the recently announced prequel to the Arkham series of tie-in games has been released showing Batman and Deathstroke fighting in glorious…CGI. Guess we’ll have to wait until E3 to see any gameplay.

Batman: Arkham Origins is set for a release worldwide on October 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. A smaller scale title called Arkham Origins Blackgate is also coming to the 3DS and PS Vita on the same day.

Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3, expected Holiday 2013

15 Years of the Gran Turismo franchise will culminate in the launch of the sixth main series entry of the Playstation exclusive racing sim.

Gran Tursimo 6 will introduce new tracks and cars and a revised user interface along with a new compact game engine that will ‘improve operation and increase the flexibility to expand it with downloadable content.’

Polyphony have also talked about new social features that allow for expanded connectivity with other devices such as smart phones and tablets.

Every car from GT5 will be available making the total car count 1200 at launch, which will be expanded with continued DLC support.

The game was announced at an event held at Silverstone Circuit in the UK, one of the new tracks that will feature in Gran Turismo 6 as well as six more new tracks.

More information is expected at E3. A demo for the game will be launching in July to coincide with the launch of the new season of GT Academy.

Payday 2 launching at retail on PS3 and Xbox 360

Series developer Overkill Games and publisher 505 Games have today announced that the sequel to the co-op, bank heist FPS will be launching at retail, at least the console versions will.

The game will be launching in August for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but Payday 2 director, David Goldfarb has stated that:

“We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill — there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out — so Payday 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network alone”

So expect the game to launch through retailers as well as the expected digital storefronts on consoles. The PC version of the game will be available through Steam.

Rayman Legends - “20,000 Lums Under The Sea” gameplay

Ubisoft have released some more gameplay from a more traditional set of levels that will feature in Rayman Legends when it hits August 27 in the US, August 28 in Europe and August 30 in the UK for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

They have also revealed the pre-order bonuses for the UK that will be available from game. Pre-ordering the game for PS3 will get you a costume for Rayman which resembles Edward Kenway from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Wii U owners will get a costume for Barbara, which is of Aveline De Grandpré from Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and finally Xbox 360 owners will get a costume that lets Rayman dress up as Sam Fisher.

Wolfenstein: The New Order won’t have any multiplayer

Announced on Tuesday, the next entry in the Wolfenstein series, being brought to us from Machine Games and Bethesda, will not feature any kind of multiplayer modes.

Creative director, Jens Matthies, said this about the reveal:

“It’s such a huge part of video game legacy. If there’s a video game museum, Wolfenstein is in the first room. It’s the start of the wave that shaped the world of gaming. On a personal level, I played this when I was younger and it was mind-blowing. I never then of course dreamed that I was going to be working with it. It’s both an honor and a legacy.”

Wolfenstein: The New Order is expected to arrive sometime in Q4 of this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, it will also be making its way to next generation consoles.

The soundtrack is sounding phenomenal and will be made available to those who pre-order the game for the ‘Sights & Sounds’ pack which also includes a PS3 theme and some avatars. It’s also included with all the special editions of the game.

The Last Of Us, originally set for a release yesterday, is coming to PS3 on June 14.

Wolfenstein: The New Order announced, coming to PC, PS3 Xbox 360 & next gen

Bethesda and Machine Games have announced a new title in the granddaddy of FPS franchise Wolfenstein. It seems to be in the same style and tone of the last Wolfenstein game that launched in 2009 from Raven Software.

The game is set in alt-world 1960 where the Nazis won WWII and the game stars B.J. Blazkowicz who is launching a counter-offensive against the mechanical army.

In-game you will be infiltrating Nazi strongholds and fighting against the robot forces featured in the trailer.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is set to launch at the tail end of the year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Fuse demo coming to PSN and XBLA next week

The newest IP from Insomniac Games, Fuse, will be getting a demo next week with four player online and two player split-screen available to try.

The demo is set at the mid-point of the game and will feature levelled up characters so you can experience some of the higher powered skills and weapons from the full game.

All the reluctancy to accept the new style the game has been given since the rebrand will either be proven wrong or be completely validated when the demo hits next week, hopefully the prior.

It will be available on May 7 on the PSN store (May 8 in Europe) and Xbox Live.

Fuse is out May 28 in the US, May 29 in Europe and May 31 in the UK for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Call Of Duty: Ghosts teaser trailer is all about masks

It’s official, the next game in the Call Of Duty series may not be the same old formula over and over again, there’s a slim chance that with a new generation of consoles, we could see some interesting things happening with the franchise. One can hope anyway.

A full reveal of the game will be happening at Microsoft’s next gen presentation on May 21, but the game is also set for release on current generation systems.

Activision also confirmed that November 5 is the official release date for Call Of Duty: Ghosts on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Three trailers launched today for all three characters players will be able to take control of when the next entry in the biggest free-roaming franchise, GTA V, launches on September 17 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

From the look of these trailers, players will be able to see very different views of Los Santos, hopefully that variety translates into gameplay too.

Killer Is Dead Trailer #3 released

Suda 51’s latest is getting stranger by the minute, but that music keeps getting better too.

This trailer details some gameplay as well as the “Gigolo Glasses” that “let you see into the desires of women around you,” which I guess translates to seeing through their clothes as seen in the trailer, it’s almost as if those recent controversies and endless articles about female roles in video games and the industry never happened.

Watch_Dogs launching November 19

The highly anticipated, original IP from Ubisoft, Watch_Dogs, has finally been given a release window so now you can wait in anticipation some more.

A few special editions of the game were also announced with the launch date, the first being the Dedsec Edition which comes with:

Steelbook

Watch_Dogs Artbook: artworks and illustrations that inspired the game
Original soundtrack of the game
Watch_Dogs map of Chicago
Set of 4 collectible cards: discover Watch_Dogs iconic characters through augmented reality
Set of 3 exclusive badges
Three single-player missions. These are called “Palace Pack” (police raid on a wealthy Internet mogul), “Signature Shot” (mysterious gun only works for the first person who uses it.), and the “Breakthrough Pack” (Drive around Chicago intercepting scrambling devices). Each mission features a number of rewards.

The Vigilante Edition comes with Aiden’s Mask and Cap as well as the soundtrack, a special box and the “Palace Pack” DLC mentioned in the last one.

Then there are two slightly smaller scale editions one being a standard special edition with the “Breakthrough Pack” DLC. The other one is a UPlay exclusive edition which comes with a steelbook case and all three previously mentioned DLC packs.

There was also a trailer released with the news that shows some more gameplay and we get to hear the main character for the first time, check it out below.

Watch_Dogs will be hitting PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on November 19 in the US, November 20 in Europe and November 22 in the UK.

It is also set for a release on next generation consoles, so this could point to the fact that the PS4 and whatever Microsoft has in store on May 21 could be launching before November.

Deadpool release date confirmed

The video game dedicated to all things Deadpool will be launching in June, specifically June 28 in the UK, June 26 in Europe and June 25 in the US.

Things aren’t looking all too great for this title, with no actual gameplay footage being shown and the team behind it (High Moon Studios) seeing closure before the game even launches.

Some pre-order incentives were also revealed for the UK, pre-order from GAME and you will get the ‘Merc With A Map Pack’ which adds two bonus maps to the Deadpool’s Challenge Mode as well as the D-Pooly and Uncanny X-Force bonus costumes for use in the unlockable Infinite mode.

Deadpool will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
