Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of 2 Screenshots
It’s real and this time it is hitting all the major consoles, it will be launched later this year for Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii. Box art for the PS3 version indicates there will be Move support too.
When speaking about the game to Associated Press, Warren Spector revealed some details about the game. It will feature co-op with player 2 controlling Oswald and both players being able to use each other to advance, for example, in a few of these screenshots and the launch trailer, Oswald can be seen using his ears as a helicopter, Rayman style, with Mickey holding on. Apparently “(There have been) over 1,000 specific changes made to the camera.” This will come as welcome news to anyone who played the original game as the camera was a huge problem, fixed cameras will be used more often in this outing.
The most interesting thing that Spector mentions is the addition of musical numbers, composed by Jim Dooley and written by Mike Himelstein.
“I’m such a geek about musicals,” said Spector. “I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it’s magic. It’s drop-in, drop-out co-op. You can sit down at any time with a friend who is playing as Mickey, and you can take control of Oswald.
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of 2 is expected to launch in the Fall later this year for PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii.
